The stand is now open with asparagus.

East End chefs have long told us they prefer our asparagus for its tenderness and flavor.

Here is an asparagus recipe to try, courtesy of Jane Cottrell:

Asparagus with Miso Butter:

        • Roast Asparagus in oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
        • Mix equal parts miso paste and warm butter.
        • Spread miso butter on a plate and place cooked asparagus on top.
        • Serve with poached or fried egg on top.

IPM Blog Post Header

Here’s a technician from Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Stewardship Program doing integrated pest management in our orchard.

We put out traps with pheromone attractants and watch them weekly to find out when insects are breeding. Wickham’s Fruit Farm supports the community by employing people here on the East End in IPM.
