Group tours
We offer group tours of the farm for 10 or more people. Please book group tours on our website www.wickhamsfruitfarm.com . In addition, during pick-your-own apple season, which is going on right now, individuals and families can take a wagon ride out to the apple orchard to do their apple picking, and in that way can see a good amount of the farm. We are closed Sundays.
Autumn offerings
Our autumn offerings at Wickham’s include our traditional cold-press apple cider, apple turnovers, pies, jams, apple cider donuts, pumpkins, pears, pick-your-own apples, wagon rides, and the ability to experience the landscape of a traditional North Fork working farm, not virtually, but live, in person… the real thing.
Pick-your-own as of Wednesday September 20
Empire, Jonomac, and Aceymac apples are available for pick-your-own as of Wednesday September 20. Please call ahead at (631) 734-6441 before coming out, as we may run out of apple varieties as the week goes on.
Pears are on the stand.
Honeycrisp apples
Our Honeycrisp apples, with their characteristic bright green and bright red coloration, are a premium-quality variety with intense flavor and little tartness.
Parking
We have plenty of parking here at Wickham’s Fruit Farm, so when you come to pick your own apples or to shop at our farmstand, you will not have to park on the side of the road.
We conserve resources
By planting a special kind of grass in the orchard between the rows of fruit trees, we conserve resources in several ways. We help prevent the soil from eroding, we establish a less-hospitable environment for insect pests, and we enable fewer passes to be made per year through the orchard with mowing equipment.
