The Choicest of Fruit

08/07/2020

Not just any tomatoes, but the right tomatoes, from our farmstand. Not just any oysters, but Peconic Gold oysters. In a different place, it would be a tall order to get all the right stuff together, but here on the North Fork of Long Island, we’ve got the right stuff all within one mile of the village of Cutchogue.

Venison, pheasant, and quail all work well with the rich flavor of our blackberries. The next time you serve deer meat, accompany it with blackberries, and up your game with Wickham’s Fruit Farm.

Planting tomato plants in the field with our water-wheel planter. Look for beefsteaks, heirlooms, and cherry tomatoes of various colors and shapes from these plants in August on our farmstand.

Our sweet corn this month features a hearty, familiar, classic corn flavor.  Take home some blackberries, tomatoes, and rustic baguettes to accompany it.
