Gala apple

The Gala apple, which originated in New Zealand, is one of the highest-quality apples we grow. Gala has a distinctive aromatic vanilla scent, inviting buttermilk-colored flesh, and bright red-to-orange skin coloration that reminds one somehow of looking at a comet or some other body in the solar system. Ask for Gala at our farmstand this week.

Vintage apple cider jugs

Blast from the past: Anyone like to guess how old these vintage apple cider jugs are? They have a PE4- phone number on the label.

Strawberries

 September 11

We grow these everbearing strawberries right here on our own land. They are available at our farmstand and feature the most intense flavor of any strawberry we sell.

Wagon rides

We are now open for pick-your-own apples with wagon rides Fridays and Saturdays.

Apple season

Apple season is underway at Wickham’s Fruit Farm. Look for our cold-press apple cider, apple cider donuts, apple turnovers, and other apple-related products to begin this year approximately around the middle of September.

Pears

Our featured pear this week at the farmstand is a variety named Aurora, which is one of the world’s highest-quality pear varieties. It has an aromatic flavor, keeps well in storage into the late part of the year, and works well in desserts. Our other pear offerings include Bartlett and Gorham.
