FruitFarmCommunity.com is an extension of Wickham’s Fruit Farm in Cutchogue, New York.

Wickham’s Fruit Farm is a family business growing and selling a wide range of tree fruit, berries and vegetables.   We are now in our eleventh and twelfth generations of family members farming about 200 acres of beautiful — and bountiful — land in Cutchogue, on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island.  Some of the land has been in the family since the 1600s.

Our goal is to provide the choicest of fruit to the public at our roadside market, at our family-picking fields, and to a number of specialty markets on Long Island.  High-quality produce comes from varieties and seeds selected for eating quality, and bringing the crops to harvest when they are fully ripe.

Virtually all the fruit on our farmstand is grown on our farm.  Even our donuts, apple cider, baked goods and jams are made with our own fruit.

We grow our crops using integrated pest management, a set of science-based technologies designed to minimize the use of pesticides.  We have benefited from a close working relationship with Cornell Cooperative Extension, the USDAs Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Suffolk County Soil and Water District.  Projects carried out on our farm with those agencies support the community by pointing the way to more sustainable farming practices.

We offer scenic tours of the farm as part of the family picking experience, and opportunities for professional photography and filming on preserved farmland next to Peconic Bay.

We are one family in a much larger community of neighbors.  Many of these families shop at our farmstand.  Over the years a number of local high-school kids had their first working experience in our fields and farmstand.  We are so fortunate in having a favorable physical environment for our crops, and such a supportive local community.

We are open from the end of April to Christmas, every day except Sundays.  We look forward to welcoming you soon.
